QMA is now fully integrated with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), enabling scalable and reliable containerized deployments. This integration optimizes the application for cloud-native environments and Kubernetes-based management, ensuring better scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency. It also simplifies infrastructure management, while enhancing monitoring, access control, and networking capabilities. Below are the key features that accompany the AKS integration:
- Optimized Traffic Routing with Ingress Controller: Deployed and configured an Ingress Controller to handle external traffic, providing simplified routing, SSL termination, and load balancing for our applications.
- Managed Identity Integration for Secure Azure Resource Access: Enabled Managed Identity for our AKS cluster, allowing it to securely access Azure resources like Key Vault, Azure Storage, and others without needing to manage credentials. This ensures that sensitive information isn't exposed in code and simplifies access control by leveraging Azure's built-in security.
- Managed Identity Integration for Kubernetes Workload Security: Configured Workload Identity to allow Kubernetes workloads to securely access Azure resources using Azure Active Directory (AAD) identities, providing seamless and secure authentication for applications running within the AKS cluster.
- Private Endpoints for Secure Communication: Configured private endpoints to ensure that critical services communicate securely and privately within the Azure Virtual Network (VNet), avoiding exposure to the public internet.
